Effect of a combination of Xuebijing and thymosin α1 on patients with severe pneumonia complicated with sepsis, and its influence on serum inflammatory factors

Purpose: To investigate the influence of a combination Xuebijing and thymosin α1 on acute septic bronchopneumonia (ASB) patients, effect treatment inflammation.
 Methods: Eighty-one (81) ASB patients admitted to Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, China from January 2015 July 2019 were enrolled in study. The assigned control group (n = 41) study 40). treated with injection, i.v., while received injection via subcutaneous route. Patients’ body temperature, heartbeat, white blood cell count, as well other parameters, including gas indices, serum concentrations IL-6, TNF-α C-reactive protein (CRP), indices determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Bacterial clearance therapeutic effectiveness evaluated pre- post-treatment.
 Results: Post-therapy basal breathing, number cells decreased relative (p < 0.05). Moreover, levels hydrogen ion concentration (pH) arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) significantly lower than Patients had CRP, when compared group, bacterial load was reduced subjects, controls 0.05).
 Conclusion: Combined use is effective management suffering ASB. therapy also improves hemorheological status patients. Thus, it potential strategy for ASB.
